About the company
The organisation is an Alliance (with three partners) with around 350 people working in the main office. This is a really busy position managing the day to day HR issues within construction and infrastructure.
About the role
This is a true relationship building, partnering role. There is the opportunity to influence, change and add value to the leadership team. You have two direct reports.
Duties
- Coach and mentor the HR and Culture team
- Develop and support the leadership team
- Support recruitment, talent management and succession planning
- Prepare and deliver reports to the leadership team
- Create a model that can be used for another unique partnerships
- Deal with Employment Relations and Collective / Union Agreements.
- Manage and support the business and its’ employees
Skills and experience
You will need to be skilled in everything HR. From a generalist background, you will need to hit the ground running.
- HR Degree
- Skilled at influencing and building relationships
- Experience in construction
- Prefer experience working with Unions
- Track record of supporting and implementing HR initiatives
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
